Climate Uzbekistan has a sharply continental climate. Summers are very hot, temperatures can reach +40°C and above, especially in desert areas such as Karakalpakstan. Winters are cold, in some regions the temperature drops to -10°C, but most often it stays around 0°C. Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are the most comfortable for travel, with temperatures around +20–25°C. At this time, gardens bloom and markets are filled with fresh fruits.

Samarkand is the pearl of the Great Silk Road, famous for its architecture, the main attractions of which are Registan Square, Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Shahi-Zinda Ensemble and Ulugbek Observatory.
Bukhara is an ancient city with a thousand-year history, where you can see the Ark Fortress, Lyabi-Khauz Complex, Kalyan Minaret and many ancient madrassas.
Khiva is an open-air museum with a well-preserved old town Ichan-Kala, surrounded by powerful walls.

Culture and Traditions Uzbekistan is famous for its hospitality and rich culture. Uzbek cuisine is varied and hearty: here you can try real pilaf cooked according to traditional recipes, juicy shashlik, aromatic samsa, lagman noodles and rich shurpa.
Tea plays an important role in the life of Uzbeks – they drink it everywhere, especially in teahouses, where you can enjoy the atmosphere of oriental hospitality. Important elements of culture are national crafts such as ceramics, carpet weaving, gold embroidery and miniature painting.
Holidays such as Navruz (Uzbek New Year) are widely celebrated throughout the country with festivities, music and food. Weddings in Uzbekistan are lavish, multi-day celebrations that attract hundreds of guests.
Travel Tips
Dress for the season: in summer, wear light clothes made of natural fabrics, and in spring and autumn, take comfortable shoes for long walks.
It is better to exchange currency at official exchange offices, not from private individuals.
Be prepared for a warm welcome: Uzbeks are very friendly and love guests, you will often be offered tea or a treat.
If you are traveling in the summer, take sunglasses, cream and a hat with you.
Tourist places can be crowded, so it is better to visit them in the morning.
