The magnificence of the Fann Mountains

Day 1. Europe – Dushanbe
Flight to Dushanbe via Turkish Airlines.

 

Day 2. Dushanbe – Lake Nofin (1778m)
Arrival in Dushanbe in the morning.
Meet and greet with your French-speaking guide. Transfer to the hotel. Rest.
Arrival in Dushanbe (usually at night) and check-in at the hotel.
Discover the capital, located at an altitude of 850m: visit the Botanical Garden, Ismail Samani Square, the National Museum of Antiquities (home to a 13-meter-long, 1500-year-old reclining Buddha statue), the Museum of Musical Instruments, and the local bazaar.
Framed by mountains, with shaded avenues and neoclassical buildings in pastel colors, Dushanbe is the most beautiful capital in Central Asia and one of the most pleasant.
In the afternoon, we head north through the Haft-Kul (Seven Lakes) gorge. First encounters with the Fann Mountains. Camp setup near Lake Nofin (1778m).
Overnight in tents.

 

Day 3. Lake Nofin – Lake Marguzor – Lake Khazorchashma (2400m)
Our hike follows a trail along the lake, passing through the village of Pasrut, where we meet locals, and eventually reaching the fifth lake – Lake Khurdak.
The sixth lake, Marguzor, and the village of the same name are located at 2140m. Upon reaching the seventh lake, Khazorchashma (2400m), a magnificent panorama unfolds.

Altitude gain: +620 m / 4–5 hours of walking.

 

Day 4. Lake Khazorchashma – Tavasang Pass (3300m) – Obisafed Camp
Ascent to Tavasang Pass, crossing two false summits before reaching it.
From the pass, Tilbotaga Peak (4631m) rises to the west, and in the distance, the majestic Hazrati Sultan (4085m). To the east, the pride of the Fann Mountains: Energia Peak (5120m), Sakharnaya Golova (4190m), Sary Shakh (4882m).
Below us lies the Sarymat Valley.
Picnic at the foot of the pass, then descend into the Obisafed Valley. Encounters with shepherds.
Overnight at the foot of Maunora Pass.
Altitude gain: +900 m / -790 m, 6–7 hours of walking.

 

Day 5. Obisafed – Valangi Shahob
Climb to the Manora Pass (3500m), crossing the Nagnutsky forest, picnic, continue to Lake Pushti-Kul and descend to Valangi Shahob.
We hike near the Obisafed Glacier (White Water). The valleys are covered with pine forests with twisted trunks, backed by snow-capped peaks.
An impressive natural spectacle.
Camp setup in Valangi Shahob, dinner and overnight in tents.
Altitude gain: +800 m / -900 m, 6 hours of walking.

 

Day 6. Valangi Shahob – Village Gazza
Descent through the Gayrasang Valley from Sarchi to Duobai Sarymat.
We pass alfalfa and potato fields. Meeting local farmers.
Around 2 hours of hiking to Duoba – the meeting point of two rivers – then continue about 3 more hours to Gazza village. Along the way, we meet villagers and learn about their traditions and daily life.
Picnic and transfer to Gazza village. Dinner and overnight at a local’s home.
Altitude: +0 m / -800 m, 6 hours of walking.

 

Day 7. Village Gazza – Lake Chukurak
Ascent to Zurmich Pass (3200m), with a picnic near the shepherds’ camp of Joshkhar.
After crossing the pass, we descend to Lake Chukurak (2455m).
View of the Artuch Valley. Tent setup. Overnight in tents.
Altitude gain: +900 m / -745 m, 6 hours of walking.

 

Day 8. Chukurak – Lake Bibijannat
Climb to Chukurak Pass (3180m), then descend to picnic at Kulikalon Lake.
Continue to Lake Bibijannat (2700m), meeting shepherds along the way. Camp setup.
Overnight in tents.
Altitude gain: +750 m / -480 m, 5–6 hours of walking.

 

Day 9. Lake Bibijannat – Lake Alovuddin (2800m)
Ascent to Alovuddin Pass (3860m), offering views of the glacier-covered peaks of the Aynu region.
Picnic, then descent to the crystal-clear Lake Alovuddin.
Camp by the lake. Overnight in tents.
Altitude gain: +1160 m / -1060 m, 6–7 hours of walking.

 

Day 10. Lake Alovuddin – Transfer to Dushanbe
Drive to Dushanbe. Arrival and check-in at hotel. Free time.

 

Day 11. Dushanbe – Flight to Europe
Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to Dushanbe airport.

Registration and Terms

Registration for this trip is confirmed upon written approval and payment of a deposit equal to 30% of the total trip cost. An invoice with prepayment instructions will be sent to you by email after you accept the offer. The remaining balance must be paid one month before the departure date, without any reminder from us.
If you register less than a month before departure, full payment will be required upon acceptance of the offer.

Cancellation by the client:

In the event of cancellation on your part (for any reason) more than 40 days before departure, the deposit paid will be refunded, minus a fixed fee of 50 EUR per person (for administrative and banking costs).

If cancellation occurs within 40 days before departure, the following deductions will apply:

  • From 40 to 22 days before departure: 25% of the trip cost

  • From 21 to 15 days: 50% of the trip cost

  • From 14 to 8 days: 75% of the trip cost

  • Less than 8 days: 100% of the trip cost

Important: In the event of cancellation on your part, please notify us by email or fax as soon as possible, as the date of receipt of your cancellation notice will be used to calculate the refund.

Any trip interrupted or shortened by the participant for any reason will not be subject to a refund.

Cancellation by Roksi Sam Travel:

Cancellation may occur due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (political unrest, safety issues, etc.). In such cases, Roksi Sam Travel will cancel the trip and refund the full amount paid. However, no additional compensation will be provided.
