Discover the treasures of Turkmenistan and Central Asia on a captivating journey with Roksi Sam Travel. From the ancient monuments and Silk Road landmarks of Turkmenistan to the rich history and vibrant cultures of Uzbekistan, this tour is a perfect blend of exploration and relaxation.
Day 1: EUROPE – URGENCH
Overnight flight from Europe to Urgench with Uzbekistan Airways.
Days 2-3: URGENCH – KHIVA
Arrival in Urgench and meet your French-speaking guide. A short transfer to Khiva, check-in at the hotel. Take time to rest and enjoy breakfast.
Explore the UNESCO-listed Ichan-Kala, an ancient city surrounded by fortress walls. Visit the Muhammad Amin Khan Medrese, the Kunya Ark Fortress, Friday Mosque, and many more fascinating monuments that transport you into the heart of “One Thousand and One Nights.”
In the afternoon, continue your tour of Khiva with the Tash-Hauli Palace, the Allakuli Khan Medrese, and other significant historical sites.
Enjoy dinner in a traditional tea house, followed by a night at the hotel.
Day 4: KHIVA – DESERT FORTRESSES – NUUKUS
Drive to the Ellikkalin region of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan to explore the ruins of ancient Khorezm fortresses such as Kyryk-Kyz, Ayaz-Kala, and Toprak-Kala. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a yurt at the foot of Ayaz-Kala.
Continue the journey to Nukus and check-in at the hotel.
Day 5: NUUKUS – KUNYA-URGENCH – DARVAZA GAS CRATER
Visit the ancient capital of Khorezm, Kunya-Urgench, to see the tombs and minarets from the 13th century, including the Sultan Ali Mausoleum and the Tekesh Mausoleum.
In the afternoon, drive to the Darvaza Gas Crater, known as the “Gates of Hell.” Spend the night camping by the fiery crater.
Day 6: DARVAZA – ASHKHABAD (280 km)
Drive to Ashkhabad, with a visit to the Erbent village along the way. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Visit the Carpet Museum and the National Museum of History. In the afternoon, explore Nisa (12 km west of Ashkhabad), the ancient capital of the Parthian Empire, with its palace ruins and round temple.
Return to Ashkhabad for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: ASHKHABAD
Visit the bustling Tokuchka Market, a vibrant market where you can find Turkmen carpets and traditional goods. Enjoy a visit to the underground lake, followed by a stop at the Akhal-Teke horse farm.
Return to Ashkhabad for a night at the hotel.
Day 8: ASHKHABAD – MARY
Fly to Mary and explore the ancient city of Merv, one of the major cities on the Silk Road. Visit the ancient ruins of Erk Kala, Gyaur Kala, Sultan Kala, and others. Learn about the city’s fascinating history and architecture.
Overnight in Mary.
Day 9: MARY – TURKMENABAT – FARAB – BUKHARA
Travel to Farab, cross the border into Uzbekistan, and enjoy lunch in Turkmenabat. Arrive in Bukhara by evening and check into the hotel.
Days 10-11: BUKHARA
Explore the ancient city of Bukhara, including the Poi-Kalyan complex, the Mir-i-Arab Medrese, the Kalon Mosque and Minaret, and the famous Bukhara bazaar. Visit workshops and experience local crafts, including silk weaving.
In the afternoon, visit the historic Bolo-Hauz Mosque, the Samani Mausoleum, and the Ark Fortress.
Day 12: BUKHARA – GIDJDUVAN – NURATA – SOB
Drive to the village of Sentob, visiting Gijduvan’s famous pottery workshops along the way. Explore the ancient petroglyphs in Sarmish and enjoy a traditional lunch in Nurata. Continue to the village of Sob for an overnight stay with a local family.
Day 13: SENTOB – SAMARKAND
Enjoy a morning walk through the village of Sentob, visit the ancient ruins, and then drive to Samarkand, one of the most famous cities along the Silk Road. Check in at the hotel and enjoy dinner in the city.
Day 14: SAMARKAND
Visit the iconic Registan Square, the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque. Explore the colorful Siab Bazaar and visit the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum. Continue your exploration with the Ulugh Beg Observatory and the Afrosiab Museum, showcasing the region’s pre-Islamic history.
In the evening, enjoy a theatrical performance showcasing historical costumes from Central Asia.
Day 15: SAMARKAND – TASHKENT – EUROPE
Drive to Tashkent for lunch, followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight back to Europe. End of services.

Registration and rules:
Registration for the trip will be confirmed after written approval and payment of a deposit of 30% of the total trip cost.
An invoice with payment details will be sent to you by email after you accept the offer.
The remaining balance must be paid one month before departure, without reminders from our side. If you register less than a month before departure, full payment will be required upon acceptance of the offer.
Client cancellation:
If you cancel for any reason more than 40 days before departure, the amounts paid as a deposit will be refunded, except for a fixed fee of 50 EUR per person (application fee and bank charges).
After 40 days before departure, the following cancellation fees will apply:
From 40 to 22 days: 25% of the trip cost.
From 21 to 15 days: 50% of the trip cost.
From 14 to 8 days: 75% of the trip cost.
Less than 8 days: 100% of the trip cost.
Please note: in case of cancellation, inform us as soon as possible by email or fax, as the date of receiving the cancellation will be used to calculate the refund.
Any trip interrupted or shortened by the participant for any reason will not be reimbursed.
Roksi Sam Travel flight cancellation:
Cancellations may occur due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., political unrest, security issues). In such cases, cancellation will be made in full by Roksi Sam Travel, but no additional compensation will be provided.
