Hiking in the Zeravshan Mountains
Duration: 3 days/2 nights | Destination: Uzbekistan
A complete weekend that will allow you to discover the unexplored facets of deep Uzbekistan, at the border of the desert and mountains, where the Uzbek people always offer exceptional hospitality and legendary warmth. Walks through the Zeravshan Mountains will introduce you to the local people amidst landscapes between the steppe and mountains.
Day 1: Samarkand – Omankuton – Trek – Kuruksay (Hike)
Departure at 07:00 from Samarkand, transfer for 2 hours. Then, a 4-hour trek over the pass, with magnificent views of the snow-capped peaks of the Gissar mountain range.
Descent into the Kitob Valley. Transfer to the village of Kuruksay (2 hours+).
Accommodation at the location.
Day 2: Kuruksay (Hike)
Meet the locals, visit the village, and a small museum at the local school. Afterward, head for a hike to the village of Langar. Along the way, we will see remarkable petroglyphs and the remnants of the Zoroastrian temple of Siypantosh (see photo on the next page). Many granite “sculptures” shaped by wind, rain, and weather!
Hike for 4-5 hours.
Overnight with a local family.
Day 3: Kuruksay – Langar (Hike) – Samarkand
A day hike (4-5 hours) through the Zeravshan Mountains. Before the hike, we will visit the village mosque, XYI, with its beautiful ancient paintings.
Then, return to Samarkand.

Registration and Rules: Registration for this trip will be confirmed after written confirmation and payment of a deposit of 30% of the total trip cost. An invoice with payment instructions will be sent to you by email after you accept the offer. The remaining amount must be paid one month before the departure date, without any reminders from our side. If you register less than a month before departure, you will be asked to pay the full amount upon accepting the offer.
Cancellation by the client: If canceled by you (for any reason) more than 40 days before departure, the amounts paid as a deposit will be refunded, minus a fixed fee of 50 euros per person (application and bank charges).
After 40 days before departure, cancellation will result in the following deductions:

From 40 to 22 days: 25% of the trip cost

From 21 to 15 days: 50% of the trip cost

From 14 to 8 days: 75% of the trip cost

Less than 8 days: 100% of the trip cost
Please note: In case of cancellation, kindly inform us as soon as possible by email or fax, as the date we receive the cancellation will be used for calculating the refund.
Any trip that is interrupted or shortened by the participant for any reason does not entitle to a refund.
Cancellation by Roksi Sam Travel: Cancellation may occur due to circumstances imposed and beyond our control (political unrest, security issues, etc.). In such cases, Roksi Sam Travel will cancel the trip in full, but no further compensation will be provided.
